EVENT DESCRIPTION

The Burn River Jump, organized by Burton Snowboards in collaboration with Swatch Mottolino Snowpark, APT Livigno e Ski Passion Snow-Ski Area, is at its sixth edition. For the third time in a row the TTR has confirmed the 5 star level for both snowboard contests held in Livigno 2012.

Burn Energy drink, once again, will be title sponsor of the event.

The format is the following: the slopestyle (Burn Slopestyle) contest at Mottolino Swatch Snowpark, the best one in Italy and among the three best ones in Europe, is a 5star TTR event and additionally valid for the qualification of the Burn River Jump, the second 5star competition in Livigno. The Burn Slopestyle is scheduled for 21^st and 22^nd February. The 10 best riders will pass directly to the starting list of the prestigious Burn River Jump contest.

The final challenge will take place on Thursday the 23th February at 8.30 p.m. The Burn River Jump Slopestyle, will wow riders and spectators thanks to the amazing set-up over the river Spoel in the center of Livigno. The 10 best riders out of the Burn Slopestyle, the 10 wild card holders and 10 international TOP riders (invited to the event with direct access to the River Jump contest) will battle for the first place.

As usual the aim of organizing such an event is to offer an unforgettable show both for the public and for the competitors, creating entertaining infrastructures that still guarantee the riders’ safety.

Riders will in fact get the chance to choose among different solutions and spectacular set ups to cross the rivers’ gap and to win the title ”Burn River Jump Champion”, to take home the biggest part of the rich prize-money as well as valuable points for the TTR ranking.
